Meet The Team

Matt Logan CEO

Matt is a Fellow of the RSA and a member of the International Relations Committee of the American Correctional Association. He was recently elected President of the International Correctional Arts Network (an affiliate organisation to the ACA).

Matt contributes regularly to written periodicals such as the International Community Correctional Association Journal and is a regular speaker at international criminal justice seminars. Matt most recently gave a talk at the ICPA conference in Prague on the effective use of IT in prison education.

Previously he has been responsible for online content for such major international brands as Which Online, BT, UCI Cinemas and Lufthansa. Matt has also worked on interactive online applications for www.open2.net on behalf of the BBC and the Open University.

He was also Online Media Director for Oasis where he was responsible for the implementation of the online ticket sales system of Oasis' world tour, including the 240,000 tickets covering three sell-out nights at Knebworth.

John Logan

John Logan has over 30 years of international business experience at main board level. Previous positions include Chief Technical Officer for Vodafone UK having previously been the Managing Director of International Operations for Vodafone PLC. He is the former CEO, and founder of Click GSM, Egypt. In addition he is a trustee of the Chalker Foundation and an advisor to companies on issues of social responsiblity. He is also a qualified mentor.

Matthew Preston, Head of Operations

Matthew joined Leaf as Northern Regional Manager from HMP Askham Grange, where he worked with Carole Burke, Head of Learning and Skills. Matthew made the move from York to take up the position of Head of Operations at Leaf’s offices in early 2008 and support Matt Logan in the growth of the business.

Professor David Wilson

David Wilson is a leading criminologist and commentator on criminal justice issues. He currently teachers at the Centre for Criminal Justice Policy and Research at the University of Central England. David was previously governing governor of a number prison establishments including HMP Wormwood Scrubs, and HMP Woodhill where he designed and managed a specialist unit for 12 of the most disruptive prisoners in the country. Prior to leaving the Prison Service David was Head of Prison Officer and Operational Training. He is Vice Chair of the Howard League for Penal Reform, and sits on a number of other CJS related comittees.

Steven King

Steven is a member of the Non-Executive board. Steven has over 40 years of commercial business experience and has previously worked in the IT and marketing sectors for a range of high profile companies. His appointment brings enormous management and marketing experience to Leaf’s management base as we continue our growth and development path. Steven currently heads a broad based marketing and business development consultancy whose clients have included Harrods, Honda, BMW, PC World and many other large corporate UK companies. He is a Justice of the Peace with a keen interest in criminal justice issues.
